Use this cloth between your sewing and your iron. This cloth has loads of uses:  it protects your fabric from scorch marks,  'ironing shine' and goo (from your iron), The cloth also helps create crisp and sharp creases (for your darts, pleats and tucks)  and it helps  steam better penetrate fabric when pressing (for when using fusible interfacing for example). You can use a fabric sprayer or sponge to add moisture to the cloth while pressing (and it's better to spray onto your pressing cloth than spray directly onto your fabric).
