Unlike normal velour, this fabric has a soft felt backing. The backing gives the fabric thickness, stability and it prevents fraying (yessss!!!) Use with confidence for your heavier-duty projects. You will love how easy it is to sew:
- it does not fray
- can easily be interfaced with fusible interfacing
- it has minimal stretch
- the pile is short, so it does not slip around when sewing layers together (I still reccommend using a walking foot)
- it does not bruise like normal velour
Note: Your fabric will be sent carefully folded. To remove creases, carefully iron, the wrong side of the fabric using a low heat setting (increasing slowly if necessary), whilst constantly moving the iron.
